Privacy Policy

Overview

NumGenius ("the App") is a Sudoku puzzle application developed by Hemant Kumawat, trading as hkind ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it on your iOS or Android device.

The short version: NumGenius does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. All your game data lives locally on your device and never leaves it.

Information We Do Not Collect

NumGenius does not collect or process:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Your location data
• Your device contacts, camera, microphone, or photos
• Your browsing history or activity outside the App
• Any account credentials — there is no account or login

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device using the device's local storage. It is never transmitted to any server operated by us:

• Your current puzzle state and progress (active game board)
• Your game statistics (win rate, best times, streaks, games played)
• Your app preferences (theme, sound settings, difficulty preference)
• Daily challenge completion records

This data is automatically removed if you uninstall the App. We have no ability to access or recover it.

Third-Party Services — Google AdMob

NumGenius is a free app supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob to display ads within the App. AdMob is operated by Google LLC and may collect and process the following data for advertising purposes:

• Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android)
• Coarse location (country/region) derived from IP address
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
• IP address (used to infer general location; not stored by AdMob in identifiable form)

Google AdMob's data collection and processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

On iOS 14 and later, the App will request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before AdMob accesses your device's advertising identifier for personalised ads. You may decline — the App will still function normally and ads will be shown in a non-personalised (contextual) mode.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization"

App Distribution Platforms

NumGenius is distributed via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms have their own privacy policies and may collect data about your download and usage patterns independently of us. Please refer to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies for details.

Children's Privacy

NumGenius is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us at business@hkind.net and we will promptly address the matter.

Data Security

Since no personal data is transmitted to our servers, there is no risk of a data breach on our end. All local data is protected by your device's operating system security mechanisms (including device encryption if enabled).

Data Retention & Deletion

All data stored by NumGenius exists exclusively on your device. You can delete all App data at any time by:

• iOS: Settings → General → iPhone Storage → NumGenius → Delete App
• Android: Settings → Apps → NumGenius → Storage → Clear Data, or uninstall the App

We have no copy of this data and cannot recover it after deletion.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Since NumGenius does not collect personal data on our servers, these rights primarily apply to data held by third-party services such as Google AdMob. You may exercise those rights directly with Google via their privacy tools at myaccount.google.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
